Dancing in New Zealand
Throughout the Region, from Hamilton in the West to Opotiki in the East, Scots and Non-Scots alike enjoy dancing to the exhilarating sound of:
fast-moving reels
slower-paced strathspeys.
Our clubs cater for dancers of all levels of ability, but beginners are particularly welcome and will quickly learn the basics at one of our classes.
You do not need to come with a partner or require any special clothing (and you certainly do not have to wear a kilt!), but it is a good idea to bring some soft, flat shoes.
